Ya'all - what gets you to dig deeper when you see a property in the search results on the booking platform? Its the photo of the property, right? What makes that photo work? It tells a story, it tweaks your interest, it STANDS OUT.

So as we talk about elevating our listing, we can't do this without talking about design. And design is DIFFERENT for short-term rentals. It has to be functional, it has to convey and provide comfort, but it also has to tantalize and tempt you toward that "Book" button!

Paige Hayes, of Hayes and Co, not only does design exclusively for short-term rentals but she has developed a masterclass for aspiring STR designers and she sat with me on a Zoom not too long ago to talk about STR Design.

I'm a believer in bite-sized content - I'm a busy momma and 20 minutes is about how long it takes for pick up line at school! So its 20 minutes where we get into the importance of design, how to evaluate a good designer, and some of the ways that design is different for short-term rentals.
